Preparing From Coconut to Copra
Coconuts are dehusked, deshelled and dried into copra, never smoked with sulphur, then graded and cleaned before milling.
Dehusking
Each mature coconut has its fibrous husk stripped away by hand first.
Splitting Open
Each coconut is split open, exposing the white meat that becomes copra.
Natural Drying
Halves dry in natural sunlight until the moisture is gone, never sulphur-smoked.
Copra Ready
The dried meat is lifted out, graded and cleaned, ready for pressing.
Preparing From Coconut to Grated fresh coconut
Selected coconuts are cracked open fresh and the white kernel grated within hours. Nothing is dried, smoked or stored as copra.
Fresh Coconut
Fresh mature coconuts are selected and cracked open, never dried into copra.
Whole White Meat
The white kernel is lifted out whole, its brown skin pared away.
Break into Pieces
The clean white meat is broken into pieces for even, consistent grating.
Shred the Meat
The pieces are finely shredded, ready for milk extraction and cold pressing.
